MacGill’s outdated Magento 1 site lacked efficiency, scalability, and the modern features necessary to support high-volume buyers. Without a direct ERP integration, the company relied on manual processes that slowed operations and created inefficiencies. A platform migration also carried the risk of significant SEO loss due to thousands of legacy URLs. In addition, MacGill faced complex B2B requirements, such as bulk ordering and account-specific customizations, while the overall user experience fell short of modern eCommerce expectations.
